Retain program is key to custom polybag quality

The foundation of our quality program involves our custom polybag retain program.    A retain per box is measured for accuracy and the data recorded on a custom polybag quality control sheet.   The retain is then numbered corresponding to the box number.  A numbered retain is kept here in the plant from every case shipped for up to 6 months.   See the picture attached showing a numbered custom polybag retain and the numbered box it came from.

If an issue comes up from an order in the field, we can usually diagnose the size and cause of the issue by looking at all the numbered retains kept.  Numbering the retains in accordance with the numbered boxes in the field allows the potential to more easily quarantine the issue to certain cases.

The retain program  for custom polybags helps internally as the machine operator is measuring, recording data and keeping a retain from every case.   The constant checking and knowing the retain is saved keeps awareness at a high level.  The retain program gives clients a comfort knowing what is being done to ensure quality for their item.   The retain program has proven to be a time and money saver for all that allows quick remedy of issues.
